This page will be used for daily updates and accouncements. I will be uploading a video each day to review what is expected of each student. Please make sure to watch them as they will help guide your instruction.
As we move forward, please be aware that several students are not completing 100% of their assignments. Students are clicking through interactive lessons very quickly. All activity is monitored and I am able to see time spent on each activity and lesson.
Due to the uncertainty of the expectations by the district, I continue to encourage students to work independently. Students who post assignments in Canvas, SHOULD go back and read my comments. I offer suggestions, provide advice, and give students the feedback to help them succeed.
How do you know your child has completed their work? I've created a checklist. Your child should work independently, but can show you their work at the end of each day, or at the end of the week. You can say things like, "Show you me you have completed your time in IReady." Students know how to do this. You can say, "Show me you finished your Raz-Kids reading assignment." Students know how to do this. This is NOT new! Students have been working in some of these programs all year.
I've created a checklist to help each student and parent ensure that all work is completed. Incomplete work will receive a failing grade of 50%. I can assure you that students who complete ALL of their work, WILL pass the 4th quarter. Let's continue to work together to help your child succeed. I will be calling each student next week to be certain they understand these requirements. Finally, I am available every day to help with assignments they don't understand.
